Hi my name is Mrs. Jaime Takagi and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! This will be my second year teaching at Kennedy School. I look forward to getting to know you and your child and making new memories with you!

About Me

I grew up in Mount Prospect, Illinois with my parents and two older brothers. My oldest brother Thomas lives in Iowa with his wife and my nephew Hunter. My other brother Adam lives in San Francisco with his fiance' Molly. I wouldn't be who I am today without the support of my family. I currently live in the city with my husband Dan. :)

Education

I graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education.

I am currently taking courses at National Louis University to obtain my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with concentrations in LBS1 and ESL. I believe the early years are the most important years and that's why I love being an early childhood educator! I am a "kid at heart" and enjoy making learning fun and engaging!

I am a food, music and Chicago sports enthusiast! When I'm not teaching I enjoy trying new restaurants, listening to live music, traveling, being with family and friends and cheering on my Chicago sports teams! GO BEARS!
